Our Client, a well-known brand in the Home Furnishings sector, is looking for a Senior Data Analytics Developer to play a crucial role in ensuring relevant, timely, and actionable business integrations for Living Spaces. The successful candidate will take the lead in designing, testing, and maintaining data integration, data transformation, and data quality processes while maximizing efficient use of proprietary data across teams and platforms.

This is a hybrid role in Orange County, CA

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Architect, build, and launch intuitive data models that provide actionable insights for stakeholders across Living Spaces.
  • Determine the optimal data architecture to ensure seamless data integration, distribution, and analysis for Living Spaces business data domains, including Marketing, Finance, Sales, Logistics, Support, and more.
  • Build highly efficient and reliable data pipelines to move large and small data amounts from Living Spaces Data Warehouse/Retail Systems to downstream databases and data marts for analysis.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain complex integrations from external cloud sources to internal systems using a variety of tools and platforms.
  • Use multiple cloud-based API s to establish data connections and ensure their security and integrity.
  • Work across multiple teams in high visibility roles and own the solution end-to-end.
  • Organize, mine, and analyze massive structured and unstructured data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that assist in making critical decisions for Living Spaces.
  • Develop and optimize the business metrics data layer for scalability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Translate algorithms (graph theory, Map/Reduce, recursion, and other areas) into working prototype code effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop strategies to extract, resolve, and unify information from various disparate data sources to ensure cohesive integration with external business applications.
  • Create algorithms and heuristics to extract information from large data sets and implement the resulting algorithms in software/scripts.
  • Be a thought leader in analytics/data science with respect to entity resolution as it pertains to Living Spaces business goals.
  • Explore data in an unstructured environment and discover meaningful trends that drive business value for Living Spaces.
  • Use SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to build high-performance data integration solutions, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) packages for data warehousing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) in computer science or engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of diverse experience in designing innovative data solutions for business analytics.
  • Proven experience in managing workflows from architecture to delivery in an Agile framework.
  • Additional knowledge of different database technologies beyond RDBMS, vendor/solution capabilities in data management and reporting/analytics data federation, big data, data quality,
  • Business Intelligence, etc., and writing complex SQL queries in a data warehouse environment. They should also have experience BI and dashboarding/reporting tools, including Tableau, Alteryx, etc. The equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Computer Skills: 

Advanced proficiency in expert coding skills across several languages and cutting-edge technologies, including SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, and .NET/C# framework. Being knowledgeable in XML, Dynamics AX 2012, Dynamics CRM, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Data Lake, and Data Warehouse migration skills will be a plus.

Primary Functions

  • Drafting, revising, and filing of patent documents
  • Producing information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics; coordinating case preparation.
  • Conserving attorneys’ time by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications; organizing client conferences, and attorney meetings; scheduling couriers, and other special functions; coordinating preparation of charts, graphs, and other visuals; preparing expense reports.  Circulates information and documents in a times sensitive manner.
  • Transmitting information to courts and third parties by electronic filing, preparing submission in accordance with governing rules, creating proofs of service, drafting correspondence, completing courtesy copies, and strict adherence to deadlines
  • Maintaining attorneys' calendars by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, dispositions, and travel; anticipating changes in transaction preparation requirements.
  • Providing historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems.
  • Maintaining hard copy and electronic filing system (FileSite/iManage).
  • Scheduling meetings with internal and external participants and arranges conference rooms.
  • Represents attorneys by communicating and obtaining information; following-up on delegated assignments; knowing when to act and when to refer matters to attorney.
  • Generating revenues by documenting and inputting attorney billable time, time spent on firm related matters and reimbursable expenses; preparing invoices; tracking payments.
  • Preparing Chrome River reimbursement and credit card expenditure reports to accounting for assigned fee earners.
  • Coordinating monthly billing process between accounting and assigned partner for narrative edits, time movement and draft bill processing.
  • Providing information to workflow during client intake, including matter details and Engagement Letter preparation.
  • Maintaining client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.
  • Assisting with providing ad hoc cover on reception when requested by the Office Manager.
  • Operating office equipment such as photocopy machine and scanner to produce copies and scanning when needed.
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Preparing client reporting letters, including reporting letters for patent, trademark and copyright matters.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned and assist attorneys when needed.

Specific Skills Required

  • Strong technical skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and programs like FileSite/iManage and Elite
  • Familiarity with legal terminology pertinent to the areas of assignment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently
  • Previous experience with intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark matters, is a plus.
  • Solid command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style.  Ability to compose correspondence needed.
