Our Client is a Personal Injury Law Firm in Woodland Hills seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess an eagerness to learn. This role requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Legal Assistant will provide essential support to attorneys by assisting with document preparation, and case management. Bilingual Tagalog is preferred.
Duties
- Assist attorneys with case management using software/tools.
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including intakes, records, and correspondence.
- Manage filing systems and maintain organized electronic document management systems.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, transcription, and clerical duties to ensure smooth office operations.
- Coordinate project management tasks related to ongoing cases, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with legal standards.
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Requirements
- Bilingual Tagalog
- Previous experience in a law office setting is not required; paralegal experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with various areas of law including personal injury is desirable.
- Proficiency in document management systems is essential.
- Working with word documents and pdfs is essential.
- Strong writing skills are required for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
